A leaked document has revealed that Boris Johnson is planning on cutting 90% of the Greater London Authority investment in education and youth service. This savage cut which would see the budget slashed from £22.6m this year to £2.3m by 2017.
Documents seen by the Guardian detail planned cuts to mentoring, volunteering, supplementary schooling, healthy eating and services for young people excluded from schools.
These cuts will hit some of London’s most deprived and vulnerable young people. They must be stopped!
Join the Student Assembly Against Austerity and other groups in calling upon Boris Johnson to scrap these disastrous plans.
